First Ever ERC-721 Project

Created by William Entriken and his wife Su, this project is significant as it represents the first full implementation of the ERC-721 standard, marking a pivotal moment in the history of digital assets. Inside a 10,000 Square Billboard, each Square is a unique NFT that owners can personalize with images, text, or links, turning the collective grid into a vibrant mosaic of personal expression and digital ownership.

Su Squares draws inspiration from the pioneering spirit of the Million Dollar Homepage, one of the earliest experiments in internet crowdfunding and advertising. Like its predecessor, which allowed advertisers to buy individual pixels on a webpage, Su Squares utilizes a similar concept where each square on a digital grid can be purchased and customized but as an NFT on the Ethereum blockchain.

The widget is part of a modernized dApp fork of Su Squares, it's the same smart contract just an updated UI in a developer fork run by Rito, the maintainer of this site. Tenthousandsu.com is Su Square's canonical domain but the sites can be used interchangeably.
